Biography

I am a local artist and geologist. My passion is canoeing and trekking in the wilderness where I paint and write about my adventures. I specialize in landscapes using thick textures and vibrant colors to create a feeling that one is within the scene. My work is strongly influenced by Tom Thomson and the Group of Seven. I have been painting for over 50 years. My work is displayed in galleries and collections locally and abroad. I also teach and do demonstration work.
