Biography

I play with texture, with the balance of light and dark and with colour when I paint. Representational accuracy is replaced with personal interpretation as I strive to convey on canvas my emotional response to the scene I am painting.

Nancy lives in Edgar, Ontario. A qualified visual art teacher she offers workshops for artists with in her studio in Edgar, ON. Nancy has given workshops in acrylic painting for King Township, Arts Society King, Town of Richmond Hill, Lemonville Group of Artists, Barrie Art Group and at Seneca College, King Campus.

Artist Statement

I am an impressionist artist. When I paint I try to capture the spirit of time and place rather than the reality. I find my inspiration in the natural beauty of Ontario. It is a rugged, beautiful province. I play with texture, with the balance of light and dark and with colour when I paint. Representational accuracy is replaced with personal interpretation as I strive to convey on canvas my emotional response to the scene I am painting. I am an impressionist landscape artist.
