Lucky Art Ducks
Our local artists around Coldwater are contributing their time and effort to create unique, hand painted art ducks on metal, suitable for outdoor display. Each Lucky Art Duck will be fitted with a stake appropriate to mount the duck into the ground and will stand about 24″ high. These colourful ducks will be a welcome addition to the town and yards around the area.
The Luck Art ducks will be auctioned on the day of the Coldwater Duck race, behind the Mill at 1 Mill St. on Saturday May 31, 2025
Proceeds from the auction will support our local artists in the Coldwater Studio Tour. Profits will be donated to the Lions Club in Coldwater, who host the annual duck race.

Applications are open to all creative people who would like to participate and try their hand at painting an art duck. Click here for more information and an application.
Lucky Art Ducks will be available to paint, starting December 1, 2024.
Artists can use any media suitable for outdoor use, however we strongly recommend using acrylic paint with a protective coating or sign paint.
There are no restrictions on content, media, adding things, or changing the ducks, as long as the ducks remain recognizable as ducks and that profanity or inappropriate images are not included.
There is no charge to join the fun. However, to ensure we get all our ducks back, we do request a deposit of 25.00 which will be refunded once the duck is completed and delivered to the organizers.
All artists who are part of the Coldwater Studio Tour will receive 25.00 off their application fee. If you are not a participating artist, that’s OK, we welcome all creative types and your name will be displayed on our website with images of your duck. The duck and any proceeds from the auction will be the property of the Coldwater Studio Tour, this auction is to help offset the cost of the tour and the expenses involved.
Finished ducks must be received back to the organizers by April 30th, 2025.
