Biography

Xavier Fernandes is a Canadian artist in Orillia, Ontario who has been woodturning since 2018 and creating art for 30+ years. He mainly works with salvaged wood, which makes it a sustainable business. He has a wide range of pieces and has also made many commissioned works. He is currently making Memories of Mariposa Bowls and other heirloom pieces. His woodturned pieces bring out the natural wood grain and the shapes are often sculptural in form. His work is at Peter Street Fine Arts Gallery as well as Xavier Fernandes Home Studio, on Google maps.
